2021- current: Private practice at EMDR stofan, counselling centre specialising in EMDR therapy  situated in Kopavogur, Iceland.

 

2014-2021: Psychotherapist and EXA therapist at private practice in Reykjavik, working with adults, couples and children and organizing group Expressive Art Therapy Sessions.

 

2014- 2017: Psychotherapist and Expressive Arts Therapist at HNLFI Health Spa and Medical Clinic in Iceland.

Functions:

One on one therapy, leading mindfulness meditation sessions for groups and offering presentations on trauma and its consequences. While at Heilsustotofun Rosa developed and led a group EMDR and Expressive Art Therapy program.

2011: Self-esteem building workshops for teenage girls at Willow Creek Academy, Sausalito. On a volunteering basis, SHE created and offered a six-week workshop program for teenage girls.

2008-2009: Self-esteem building workshops for an Icelandic organization called “drug free youth” working with at risk youth. The groups I led were with teenage girls from 11 to 14 who were facing social challenges. The predominant methods used were games and art therapy. 

 

2006-2007: Counselor at the psychiatric hospital for children in Reykjavik. A behavioral treatment approach was followed using a points reward system. Rosa´s role consisted of working with the families and accompanying the children in their daily activities, enforcing the reward system. 

 

2008-2011: Individual NLP sessions. 

 

2007-2011: Individual sessions in Past Life Regression. 

  

2010: Employee at kindergarten in Iceland.

 

2007: Copywriter at advertising company Tunglid in Iceland.

English, French, German, Luxemburgish and Icelandic (all fluent). Rosa lived in Luxemburg for 23 years, Iceland for 10 years, France for 5 years, UK 1 year, Germany 1 year, and the US for 5 years. She has worked as a conference interpreter with English, French, German and Icelandic for 20 years. Basic Spanish and Swedish skills.

 

 

Hobbies:

 

Playing the guitar and singing, painting, yoga, hiking, reading.
